Speculations on a Vertical Site

Verticality served as the speculative site for this project. Using the piece “whirlpools” by graphic artist M.C. Escher as a generative springboard, the project sought to organize spatial constructs anchored in a vertical core. The tectonic articulation of a scaffold like structure allowed the insertion of spatial moments that would be both part of, yet distinct from its armature.
